Why choose ethical or organic clothing?

Have you ever wondered what happens to the rest of the rail at the end of a fashion season? No I can't say I ever did either, but I'm sure it won't come as a surprise when I tell you that they go straight into our landfills. That's an estimated £140 million worth of clothing each year in the UK (source: wrap.org.uk)

Here at Gee Tee, garments are only printed once your order has been placed, meaning better for your individual style and better for the planet.

Furthermore the planet benefits more as less water is necessary in the manufacture process and carefully developed water based, non toxic and environmentally friendly inks are used. The services between the manufacturer are also fully automated and paperless.

What are the benefits of organic cotton?

No toxic chemicals are used in the growing of organic cotton. It doesn't damage the soil, has less impact on the air, and uses 88% less water and 62% less energy. Conventional cotton uses about 16% of the world's insecticides and 7% of pesticides. (source: aboutorganicotton.org)

Currently Gee Tee's t-shirt and hoodie collections are made from 100% organic cotton and I endeavour to add more organic garments once they become available. However, all of the Gee Tee products are ethically printed on demand.
